About the project

The fantastical ‘Ice Cream and Burger Shop’ in Gampola, Kandy was designed to bring to mind the world of Railways. Since it is located close to the Gampola Railway Station, our team of architects used a railway related concept to develop the project. It‘s incorporates a theme based on sleepers and a color scheme to suit it. Brown and dark mixed woody type walls, spirals, and lights built by our designers resemble the railway world from an enchanted modern ice cream shop. Ice Cream and Burger Shop-one that actually helps serve up orders and as well as the calmness of client’s mind.

About the project

This amazing spot of Lyceum School, located in Nugegoda, Colombo, the shop exudes opulence with reclaimed light fixtures and designer seating, but it also feels serene and earthy thanks to the use of unadorned concrete surfaces and exposed timber racks. The place with several different sections of sports equipment,  sports clothes, and souvenirs. It is more than a shop, it is a lifestyle and memorial center that attracts people who share the same values. It is a hub with Lyceum School and with its students, past pupils, and community.

About the project

Grand Space is a contemporary multi-faceted rental agency. It was created as an alternative to traditional office spaces polluted with visual noise and bright decorations. The owner of Grand Space had a dream about a place and he also wanted to create a space of modern and unique. The main color of the entire place is light grey, the main materials are cold-concrete, glass, and metal. An interior that could be called ‘ascetic’ suggests none of the unnecessary distractions and helps to stay focused. This place is separated from the corridor with a cube made of matt glass, it brings light in the darkroom, this light reflects in the mirrors, playing with the dimensions.

About the project

The project is located in Umandawa Maha Vihara Monastery, Kurunegala. Faced with the complex site and the demands of the owners, how to make full use of every inch of space, and think about the possible behavior patterns of monks and different people living in the academy, we reorganized the original traffic, functions, and heritage value of the site. Without destroying the original site relationship, we strive to form a complete solution.

About the project

Seetha Maligawa is located on a lake, set in a rich biodiversity garden. Intended use of the Maligawa is for a temporary stay, serving them monks for relaxation. The project for the Seetha Maligawa emerged as a consequence of research into the importance of materials and construction, as well as their relation through changeable programs and purposes in architecture.

About the project

Proposed Louis Preston project is a rare opportunity to revisit a previous project, through the opportunities to reinstate features from the original design such as custom ceiling windows that arose. Newly installed light shafts now create the intended atmosphere, dramatic in effect and spectacularly emphasizing the marble-clad interiors. Minimalist design, atmospheric light, and the modern-style eco wall had always driven design decisions and were allowed to continue to do so.

About the project

The project has been influenced by modern, neutral and industrial details. The neutrality is given by the balance of its materials and its shades of brown. All its materials have been used in a bitonal balance of black and white, except for details in the woods and the granite floor. From the beginning, we understood that the brand is, as its name indicates, a place whose identity is marked by the nature of its simple materials, its fresh and natural products as well. From this reflection, we have suggested implementing a nature of alive presence and prominent avoiding to fall in the use of static nature. This nature is form and function in all its interventions, they work as a light system and as an active landscape.
